As we step into the vibrant realm of Pokémon Go this January, the game is gearing up for an exhilarating start to the new year, packed with a variety of events and new Pokémon that promise to keep trainers both engaged and entertained.
New Pokémon and Events Await!
During the ongoing Dual Destiny season, players can anticipate encountering exciting newcomers in the Pokémon universe, including Fidough and Mega Gallade. In addition to these fresh faces, there will be Spotlight Hours, challenging raid bosses, and an array of special events for players to dive into throughout the month.
Revamped Raid Schedule
A major highlight for January is the newly updated raid lineup, showcasing the return of legendary favorites like Palkia, Deoxys, and Dialga. Trainers can also look forward to Mega Raid bosses, featuring Mega Lopunny, Mega Gallade, and Mega Medicham. Don’t forget to watch for a surprise Pokémon during Max Battles, as well as Shadow Registeel appearing as a special weekend Shadow Raid boss!
Kickoff with the Fidough Fetch Event
The month will launch with the Fidough Fetch event, allowing trainers to hunt for shiny variants of Voltorb and Electrike while participating in global challenges that can unlock bonuses, including encounters with the fairy Pokémon, Fidough. A delightful selection of puppy Pokémon will be roaming the wild, and themed Field Research tasks will be available to tackle.
Community Day Highlights
Mark your calendars for January 5, as Community Day will feature Sprigatito. Expect boosted spawns, event-themed tasks, and fantastic bonuses, including triple Stardust and double candy. Don’t miss the chance to evolve Floragato into Meowscarada and teach it the exclusive Charged Attack, Frenzy Plant!
Fashion Week and Mega Gallade Raid Day
From January 10-19, Fashion Week will bring a touch of style to the game, culminating in Mega Gallade Raid Day on January 11, where trainers can battle this new Mega Pokémon and seek out shiny Gallade. Team Go Rocket will also make an appearance during Fashion Week from January 15-19, leading up to the exciting Shadow Raid Day on January 19.
Steeled Resolve Event
Get ready for the Steeled Resolve event, a steel-type themed extravaganza happening from January 21-26, with additional details to be revealed soon. Plus, the second Community Day of the month is slated for January 25, followed by Lunar New Year festivities from January 29 to February 2.
