Conor McGregor has found himself in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons after sending an unflattering message to journalist Paul Healy. Healy, who specializes in crime reporting, took to Twitter to shed light on McGregor’s message, which the MMA star promptly deleted.
Healy disclosed that while he had received a professional comment from McGregor’s representative, he was taken aback when he woke up to a disrespectful message from McGregor himself, referring to him as “smelly.” Fortunately, Healy captured a screenshot of McGregor’s insult before it vanished, and he challenged the fighter to discuss the matter in an interview setting.
The screenshot revealed McGregor labeling Healy as “smelly” and a “little pr**k,” which incited a public response from the journalist. McGregor’s recent troubles extend beyond social media spats; he is currently entangled in legal complications, including a civil lawsuit regarding allegations from 2018. Although he hasn’t stepped into the Octagon since July 2021 due to ongoing injury issues, McGregor has hinted at a potential comeback, possibly against Michael Chandler.
Chandler, who recently faced defeat against Charles Oliveira, has expressed eagerness to challenge McGregor in a future bout. McGregor, appearing receptive to the idea, has left fans speculating about a possible clash between the two fighters in the near future, especially with the ongoing exchanges on social media.
