Joe Rogan Calls Out Drake Over UFC Betting Misfortunes

Joe Rogan has recently taken the opportunity to challenge renowned rapper Drake regarding his infamous ‘cursed’ betting streak on UFC fights. As the host of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast since its inception in 2009, Rogan has had the privilege of interviewing a diverse array of guests, including notable personalities from the combat sports world such as Mike Tyson, Jon Jones, and Tyson Fury.

Rogan has expressed a keen interest in inviting Drake onto his podcast to unpack the rapper’s ongoing struggles with betting on UFC matches. In a recent episode featuring music producer Scott Storch, the two discussed their mutual desire to work with Drake. Storch remarked, “I really wanna collaborate with Drake, but I’ve hit a wall. I know he appreciates my production, but for some reason, we haven’t been able to connect.”

Despite this, Rogan’s primary aim for a potential podcast episode with Drake would be to explore the artist’s dismal history with UFC betting. He stated, “I want to reach out to Drake and chat about his fight predictions. That guy loses more money on fights than anyone I know. I’d love to give him a call.”

Drake’s reputation for jinxing fighters with his bets has grown so prevalent that many fans believe any fighter he supports is doomed to fail. This phenomenon is particularly concerning for athletes in the UFC, as Drake seems to favor betting within the MMA organization.

One of Drake’s most notable betting blunders came when he wagered on Jorge Masvidal to win against Colby Covington at UFC 272 in March 2022. Overall, Drake has lost an astonishing $12.7 million (£9.97 million) across 23 UFC bets, managing to secure just nine victories. Nonetheless, Rogan’s producer pointed out that Drake did recently score a significant win by betting on Jon Jones to knock out Stipe Miocic at UFC 309, earning him a hefty $954,000 (£749,234) in the process.

However, Rogan remained skeptical about Drake’s recent success, noting that Jon Jones was heavily favored with odds of 600/1. He humorously remarked, “Wasn’t Jon Jones a 600/1 favorite? That’s what I would’ve thought anyway. I mean, that’s a no-brainer bet.”

The anticipated podcast conversation between Rogan and Drake promises to be both engaging and revealing, shedding light on the rapper’s betting habits and their wider implications for the UFC landscape.
