On October 16, 2018, during an Operation IceBridge mission over the northern Antarctic Peninsula, the crew on board was treated to a remarkable sight. They spotted a rectangular iceberg, a rarity in the icy expanse, alongside a more traditionally shaped sharp-cornered berg. In the distance, the enormous tabular iceberg A68 could also be seen. This stunning photograph, taken by NASA photographer Jeremy Harbeck, highlights the fascinating variety of shapes that icebergs can assume in this remote and pristine environment. It serves as a captivating reminder of the intricate beauty of nature, especially in such untouched regions as the Antarctic Peninsula.
